General Project Description

This project involves the resurfacing of a 1-mile segment of Van Buren Boulevard between Capella Street and Washington Street in Woodcrest, Riverside County. The primary work includes cold planing existing asphalt concrete pavement and overlaying it with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Superpave. Additionally, the project encompasses the removal and replacement of existing asphalt concrete pavement sections on intersecting streets, reconstruction of concrete curb/gutter, cross gutters, spandrels, asphalt dikes, asphalt driveways, concrete bus pads, retaining curbs, curb ramps, sidewalks, and gutter depressions. The scope also includes the installation and removal of roadside signs, upgrading the existing traffic signal system at the Van Buren Boulevard and King Avenue intersection with video detection, shoulder backing placement, utility adjustments, reconstruction of inlet catch basins, installation of full trash capture devices, and traffic striping with thermoplastic crosswalk and pavement markings.
