General Project Description
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is seeking proposals from qualified engineering professionals to provide construction management services for the replacement of the Market Street Bridge at Santa Ana River. The existing two-lane, 34-foot-wide bridge will be replaced with a 1,200-foot-long, 88-foot-wide structure featuring two traffic lanes (12-foot and 14-foot wide each direction), two 8-foot-wide shoulders striped as Class II bicycle lanes, and a 12-foot-wide multi-purpose path protected by a traffic barrier. The project also includes necessary approach roadwork, restriping, and utility relocations. Roadway improvements on Market Street will involve widening and striping to four lanes between Rivera Street and 24th/Via Cerro, then tapering back to two lanes between 24th/Via Cerro and Hall Road. The project is located within the Cities of Jurupa Valley and Riverside, with coordination required with Caltrans and the relevant cities.
