General Project Description

The project involves the removal of an existing playground structure and the installation of a new playground structure for two age groups (2-5 and 5-12) at Night Ridge Park. The scope of work includes the demolition and disposal of the existing play structure, installation of new playground equipment according to specified plans and safety standards, re-installation and top-off of Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) safety surfacing to achieve a minimum 12" compacted depth, and certified post-installation safety inspections. The City will furnish the new playground equipment, which the contractor is responsible for relocating from the City Corporation Yard to the project site. All necessary labor, equipment, materials, and traffic control are required.

Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Furnish, install, and remove temporary chain-link security fencing, Specifications: around the construction zone for the duration of the project.
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Offloading and staging of all equipment and materials, Specifications: at the job site within the secured construction area.
Quantity: 2 Unit: EA Work Item: Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Inspections, Specifications: by NRPA-certified CPSI (one per age-specific structure), including written inspection reports to Owner.
