General Project Description

This project seeks professional maintenance services for the City of Rohnert Park's electrified traffic control devices, encompassing 45 traffic signals and 24 lighted crosswalk systems. The scope includes a comprehensive traffic signal maintenance and repair program, with both preventative and responsive activities. Key objectives are to ensure performance, reliability, safety, and functional requirements for optimal intersection operation. The work involves maintaining all aspects of traffic signals and lighted crosswalks, including controllers, cabinets, signals, pedestrian and vehicle detection systems, communication equipment (copper, fiber optic, wireless), emergency vehicle preemption systems, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, intersection safety lighting, internally illuminated street name signs, battery backup systems, and railroad interface panels and devices. The contractor will also manage an electronic record system for inventory and maintenance history and provide assistance for the advanced traffic management system. All services must comply with the latest MUTCD, City, and Caltrans standards.
