General Project Description
This project involves the replacement of a segment of the sewer line located in the alley just south of Poplar Street, west of Sierra Highway. The work includes exposing the pipeline, plugging the upstream manhole, having a Vactor truck on standby, and performing necessary repairs. If required, the repair may also include replacing the wye at the specified location and installing 24-feet of vitrified clay pipe, the exact extent of which will be determined once the line is exposed. The contractor is responsible for mobilization/demobilization, sewer main replacement, pavement removal and restoration, new wye installation, and additional sewer line/lateral replacements as needed. The project also requires adherence to air quality standards, protection of existing underground utilities, and obtaining necessary permits.
