General Project Description

This project involves the upgrade and installation of communication and data network systems at the Genevieve Didion Telecenter. The work includes providing and installing a new Rauland Telecenter U intercom system, reworking existing Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) and Main Distribution Frame (MDF) locations, installing owner-furnished data network switches, and providing new CCTV cameras and related infrastructure. The scope also covers the removal of old/abandoned data network, audiovisual, analog telephone, intercom, clock, and coax cabling/devices after cutover. The contractor is responsible for maintaining operational clock/intercom and data network systems during school sessions. The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, demolition, removal, replacement of all associated work, coordination with other campus contractors, patching/repairing/painting of disturbed finished surfaces, and final testing of all installed systems for acceptance.
