General Project Description

This project involves the upgrade of the Educational Intercom System and Data Communications Network Equipment at Tahoe ES Telecenter. The scope includes providing and installing a Rauland Telecenter U intercom system, reworking existing IDF and MDF locations to install owner-furnished data network switches, performing other data network installations and rework, and removing old or abandoned data network, audiovisual, analog telephone, intercom, clock, and coax cabling after cutover to new systems. The contractor is responsible for ensuring the clock/intercom and data network systems remain operational during school sessions. The work must be performed during non-school hours, with limited room/area availability starting at 3:30PM; gym and MP rooms might be unavailable until after 6PM.

Quantity: - Unit: - Work Item: Provide and perform other Data Network installation and rework. Specifications: Installation of Routers (Cisco), Firewalls (Cisco), Networking Switches (Cisco), Wireless Access Points (Cisco), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (N1C N1C.L1500 2000VA), 1U Rack Mount Monitors (Tripp Lite B021-SWHD-K) and associated Structured Cabling (Superior Essex Cat6A UTP cable, Ortronics patch panels, faceplates, data jacks, patch cords in specified colors).
Quantity: - Unit: - Work Item: Remove old or abandoned data network, audiovisual, analog telephone, analog intercom, analog clock, and coax cabling and devices.
Quantity: - Unit: - Work Item: Conduct final testing of all installed systems prior to final acceptance.
