General Project Description

This project involves the removal and replacement of an existing private fire hydrant at 2760 Academy Way with a SacRT-approved model, specifically Item #AFCB84BLAOL6MJN from Ferguson Waterworks or an approved equal. The comprehensive scope includes providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and tools for the entire process. Key tasks include placing the fire protection system into test mode, confirming all required permits, verifying underground utilities, isolating the water main, excavating around the existing hydrant, removing the old hydrant and its appurtenances, installing the new hydrant with all required fittings and restraints at the specified bury depth and grade, and finally, backfilling, compacting, and restoring the excavation area to its original or better condition.
