General Project Description
This project involves the repair of a damaged steel relay case located at the southeast quadrant of 26th and R Streets in Sacramento, California. The scope of work includes cutting out the damaged side panel, fabricating and installing a new side panel and hinge mount, installing owner-furnished exterior doors, and priming and painting the newly-repaired areas to match the existing relay case. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials (except owner-furnished steel doors), equipment, and tools, while adhering to technical specifications for surface preparation, coating application, and quality control. The work must be completed to restore the relay case to like-original measurements and fitment.

Application DFT: Minimum 10 Mils total DFT (Amerlock 2 Epoxy: 4-8 mils DFT; Polysiloxane: 3-7 mils DFT per coat). Surface Preparation: Pre-application cleaning with PPG PREP 88, scrubbing, flushing, neutralization (7.5 PH Maximum), and thorough drying. Removal of failing coatings and abrasion by hand or power tools (SSPC-SP2 or SP3) to achieve 4B adhesion rating (ASTM D3359). Application: Uniform spray or roller application, free of defects, with appropriate cure times between coats.
