General Project Description
This project involves providing comprehensive streetscape maintenance services for thirteen (13) specified sites across the City of Sacramento for a two-year contract term. The scope includes general landscape maintenance such as mowing, fertilizing, mechanical and chemical edging, aerating, re-seeding, dethatching, irrigation system checks and adjustments, seasonal pruning (hard prune, winter mow), cultivating ground cover and shrubs, leaf pick-up, litter and debris removal, trash receptacle service, and weed control (hand weeding, pre-emergent, post-emergent). Additionally, a one-time 3-inch Douglas Fir bark installation is required at the beginning of the contract. The project also covers on-demand repair work for general gardening and specialty irrigation issues, including urgent responses. Weed abatement is specifically mentioned for certain sites, including areas under the I-5 freeway and medians, emphasizing sustainable landscape management practices, integrated pest management, composting, use of mulch, and water quality control measures in compliance with NPDES Stormwater Permit and City Water Ordinance. Traffic control plans are required for work that obstructs vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
