General Project Description

The County of Sacramento, Department of Waste Management & Recycling (DWMR), is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide on-call geosynthetic liner repair services for the Kiefer Landfill facility (KLF). Services include maintaining, installing, and repairing geosynthetic components of the landfill base liner system, particularly for potential damage during landfill operations. Emergency repairs are critical to maintain continuous landfill operation, and the selected contractor will be required to procure and stock necessary geomembrane, geosynthetic clay liner, and geotextile materials, although some existing materials may be provided by DWMR. Repair work will require coordination with DWMR and a third-party Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Consultant, including performing trial welds and destructive testing to meet technical specifications and CQA Plan requirements.
