General Project Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for a comprehensive Network Infrastructure Assessment for the County of Sacramento. The project's goal is to evaluate the security and efficiency of the County's network to meet current and future operational needs. The assessment scope covers a thorough review of network design, architecture, and operational practices, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. Key areas include topology review, network segmentation verification, redundancy and failover mechanism assessment, hardware health checks, firmware and software update evaluation, lifecycle management, compliance with regulatory standards, and adherence to industry best practices. The project also requires updated network diagram documentation, configuration management, and recommendations for scalability, technology upgrades, and an evaluation of staffing levels, skillsets, organizational structure, and operational maturity.
