General Project Description

The City of Salinas is seeking a qualified consultant to provide professional engineering design services for Phase 2 of the Boronda Road Congestion Relief Project (CIP 9510). This phase involves widening and intersection improvements along approximately 1.1 miles of East Boronda Road, including the design of new multi-lane roundabouts at the intersections of El Dorado Drive and Boronda Road, and Natividad Road and Boronda Road. The comprehensive scope of work includes the design of stormwater treatment and bioretention facilities, shared-use paths, bike lanes, bus pullouts, street lighting, sidewalks, ADA pedestrian access ramps, storm drain systems, sanitary sewer mainline extensions, pavement delineation, roadway signs, landscaping, and all necessary utility coordination. The consultant will deliver Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for two standalone projects (Phases 2A and 2B) and provide support during the construction phase.
