General Project Description

The City of Salinas is soliciting proposals from design-build artists or artist groups to create and install a site-specific public art monument or sculpture within the central island of the Skyway-Alisal Roundabout. This project, part of the Alisal Greening, Beautification, and Safety Project (CIP 9345), aims to enhance public spaces, promote community placemaking, and improve cultural connection and public health. Services include design, development, fabrication, site preparation (landscape & utility alterations, foundation), and installation of the monument, along with obtaining necessary permits.
