General Project Description

San Benito County is requesting quotes from certified and licensed contractors for dirt ripping of detention ponds located throughout various County Service Areas. The project involves using specialized dirt ripping equipment to penetrate and break compacted soil to a depth of six inches across designated detention pond areas in a uniform pattern. Contractors are required to call 811 prior to ripping activities, perform a comprehensive site assessment of all detention ponds to identify drainage structures and critical infrastructure, and restore all disturbed areas and equipment access routes to their original condition or better.
