General Project Description

This project involves the inspection, cleaning, rehabilitation, and replacement of the internal packing media and associated components within the Waterman Tower (South), a fiberglass air stripping tower that is part of the Department's VOC removal system. The scope of work includes mobilization and site preparation, confined space entry for detailed inspection and documentation, removal and disposal of existing calcified packing media, cleaning and reinstallation or replacement of mist eliminators, removal of calcified buildup, replacement of FRP grating, pressure washing and cleaning of all interior tower surfaces (air and water distributors), installation of owner-furnished virgin packing media, system reassembly, start-up assistance, site cleanup, and demobilization. Attendance at a mandatory job walk at the project site is required for all bidders.
