General Project Description

The City of San Bernardino is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for on-call bridge maintenance services for 67 city-owned bridges across various locations. This five-year contract involves completing one phase of work annually, encompassing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and necessary rehabilitation to ensure compliance with Caltrans and FHWA regulatory standards and extend bridge service life. The comprehensive scope includes site investigation and assessment, traffic management, various structural repairs such as polyester concrete overlays, methacrylate deck treatments, concrete spall repair, joint seal replacement, steel girder cleaning and painting, scour countermeasures, drainage system cleaning, minor non-structural maintenance, and protective coatings and painting, including graffiti removal. The vendor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, coordination, and incidental items to complete the work as directed by the City Engineer.
