General Project Description

The City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department (SBMWD) is prequalifying General Engineering “A” or “C-57” Well Drilling Contractors for an anticipated Well Rehabilitation Assessment and Repair Project. The scope involves either (1) removing well equipment, assessing and evaluating well performance and historical data, and providing detailed written recommendations for repairs including all necessary labor, material, equipment, and tools; or (2) completing well repairs based on a detailed scope of work, followed by start-up and commissioning. Work will occur at various SBMWD well locations, the Water Reclamation Plant (WRP), or the Rapid Infiltration and Extraction Facility (RIX) and includes installation/replacement of 3 phase 480 electrical panels, low voltage telemetry, and VFD drives, as well as work on water and oil lube vertical turbine and/or submersible wells, pump columns, shafts, and motors.
