General Project Description

This project involves the repair and upgrade of the Lytle Creek Gatehouse Tainter Gate Controls Power System. The scope entails the removal, repair, reconditioning, refurbishment, and re-installation of the existing 7.5 HP, 240V, 3-phase Tainter Gate Motor, shaft, and brake assembly. A new motor and shaft brake system with a 240V solenoid will be provided, requiring custom fabrications to integrate into the existing space. The work also includes comprehensive electrical system upgrades covering low-voltage power conductors, control-voltage cables, grounding and bonding systems, conduits, electrical system identification, low-voltage distribution transformers, panelboards, various wiring devices (switches, receptacles), enclosed switches and circuit breakers, manual and magnetic motor controllers, transfer switches, and both interior and exterior LED lighting. All work must comply with specified electrical standards and regulations, including NFPA 70 and NECA NEIS 1.
