General Project Description

This project involves the construction of a composite liner system for Unit 4 Phase 2 at the Mid-Valley Sanitary Landfill. The primary scope includes earthwork operations such as clearing, grubbing, demolition, excavation, grading, and installation of low-permeability material (LPM). It encompasses the preparation of subgrade surfaces, installation of geosynthetics (geomembrane and geosynthetic clay liner), and construction of leachate collection and removal systems (LCRS) and landfill gas (LFG) infrastructure. Additionally, the project includes miscellaneous civil improvements, drainage structures, access road improvements, and interim stormwater management measures. The work is divided into distinct construction sequences or milestones, requiring continuous access for waste disposal in the active Unit 4 Disposal Area.
