General Project Description
The San Bernardino County Flood Control District is seeking professional geotechnical services for the Magnolia Storm Drain Project (F02861) in the City of Chino and City of Ontario. The project aims to improve an existing 1.4-mile storm drain running along Mountain Avenue, Walnut Avenue, and Cypress Avenue by constructing a new reinforced concrete box (RCB) culvert to replace the undersized existing storm drain. This new culvert is designed to convey 100-year storm event flows. The scope of work includes comprehensive geotechnical investigations, evaluations of seismic design parameters, engineering properties of on-site soils, anticipated excavation and construction problems, analyses of bearing capacity and settlement characteristics, slope stability, and trench shoring recommendations. Deliverables include a Geotechnical Report, boring logs, and detailed trench shoring recommendations.
