San Bernardino County Transportation Authority is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AGENCY BUILDING INTERIOR SUITE 110, 140, 200, BOARDROOM AND COMMON AREA, EXTERIOR CANOPY LIGHTS AND PARKING LOT LIGHTS (FRONT AND EAST LOT) RETROFIT PROJECT, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near 1170 W 3rd St, San Bernardino, CA 92410, USA in San Bernardino County.
General Project Description
This project involves a comprehensive energy efficiency retrofit of the San Bernardino County Transportation Agency building at the Santa Fe Train Depot. The scope includes upgrading all interior lighting (suites 110, 140, 200, boardroom, main lobby, and restrooms) and exterior lighting (canopy lights and parking lot lights in the front and east lots) to high-efficiency LED systems. The work requires disconnecting and properly disposing of existing inefficient lighting (fluorescent, incandescent, metal halide) and ballasts, rewiring, and installing new LED lamps with controls such as occupancy sensors and photocells/timeclock controls to comply with Title 24 energy code requirements. The contractor must verify existing inventory, electrical panels, ensure new equipment meets specifications (e.g., luminous efficacy, CRI, UL-listing), and provide installation documentation. The contractor is also responsible for investigating and confirming all available rebates and submitting the necessary paperwork to SBCTA C/O Citycom.
