General Project Description

This project involves the renovation of the San Carlos Library Makerspace. The scope of work generally includes the demolition of existing interior walls and subsequent construction for the Makerspace Project. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to complete the project in a neat and finished condition, with all equipment properly installed and working to the satisfaction of the Architect. This is a "Public Works" project and requires compliance with prevailing wage laws. Key construction activities include general requirements, project management, demolition, waste management, installation of various building components such as metals, suspended ceilings, architectural woodwork, doors, windows, finishes (gypsum board, tiling, painting, resilient flooring), specialties (visual display surfaces, fire protection cabinets, fire extinguishers), equipment (including alarm & sprinkler systems, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, lighting), and communications infrastructure.
