General Project Description

This project involves providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supplies for the removal of existing window coverings and hardware, including proper disposal in a legal landfill. The primary scope includes the installation of new manually operated, single-roller shades at Garfield Elementary School and Lewis Middle School, along with related construction, coordination, and finishing work as per Section 12 24 13 of the specifications. The installation includes ensuring shades are plumb, level, and aligned, with opaque shade bands not closer than 2 inches to the interior face of glass, allowing proper clearances for window operation hardware. Contractor is also responsible for field measurements, coordination with existing construction, and ensuring clean and protected work areas.
