General Project Description

The project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 4,968 linear feet of existing 96-inch diameter prestressed concrete cylinder pipe along Pipeline 5 of the Second Aqueduct, from Oceanside 5 FCF to Huckleberry Lane. The scope includes excavation of three portal sites for access, installation of a steel liner, rehabilitation and repair of ancillary facilities and structures, and the construction of a new isolation vault. Work areas will primarily be within the Water Authority's right-of-way, with temporary impacts restored to pre-project conditions. Activities include vegetation clearing, site restoration, and potentially rock excavation involving blasting or drilling to remove material with heavy equipment.
