San Diego City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM ROOF REPLACEMENT, identified under Solicitation ID: K-26-2396-DBB-3-A. Work is to be performed near 2001 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101, USA in San Diego County.

General Project Description

This project involves the renovation and rehabilitation of the existing roof structure of The San Diego Air & Space Museum. The scope includes repainting the building's exterior, repairing and replacing the exterior cement plaster system, sheet metal fins, roof drains, and roof piping (including some below-grade drainage). It also involves removing and replacing the existing donut-shaped lower roof's roofing system, re-coating the existing tower/rotunda roofing system, replacing fin lighting and roof screen wall lighting, and installing new interior ladders and roof opening guards at existing roof hatches. All work must comply with the Secretary of the Interior's standards for historic properties. Hazardous material abatement (asbestos and lead) is also included.
