San Diego County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, ROUTINE AND NON-ROUTINE LANDSCAPE SERVICES AT 4S RANCH COMMUNITY PARKS, identified under Solicitation ID: 12849. General Project Description

The County of San Diego's Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking proposals for a contract to provide routine and non-routine landscape services for 4S Ranch Community Parks over an initial one-year term with four one-year options. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, supplies, transportation, supervision, tools, and equipment to maintain park grounds in a clean, sanitary, safe, and growing condition. This comprehensive scope includes regular turf care (mowing, edging, trimming), ground cover and annual color bed maintenance (tilling, fertilization, planting, weeding, debris removal), shrub and vine care (pruning, irrigation, pest control, plant replacement), and tree care (evaluations, fertilization, pruning, hazard removal, staking). Additionally, the contractor will handle soil testing and analysis, chemical applications (fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides, herbicides) under strict regulatory compliance, maintenance of drainage systems and hardscapes (sidewalks, stairs, playgrounds, athletic courts/fields, tables, benches, stove equipment), general litter and trash removal, and fire break clearing. Non-routine services, such as major irrigation repairs or additional planting, will be performed via task orders, each not exceeding $50,000. Emphasis is placed on sustainable landscaping practices, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and employee training.
