General Project Description

This public works project entails asphalt concrete overlay for fiscal year 2024-25 across various unincorporated areas within Supervisorial Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in San Diego County. The project's primary purpose is asphalt concrete resurfacing, complemented by localized pavement repairs, curb ramp upgrades, and pavement delineation. Key work items include water pollution control, extensive hot mix asphalt paving (including polymer modified and fiber reinforced asphalt), crack treatments, tack coats, sand covers, and shoulder backing. It also involves minor concrete construction such as curbs, gutters, curb ramps, sidewalks, and cross gutters. Traffic management elements include the installation and removal of pavement markers (retroreflective and recessed), traffic striping (paint and thermoplastic), speed humps, centerline rumble strips, alongside culvert removal and resetting, structural backfill, and video detection system installation and removal/salvage. Project identification signs and portable changeable message signs will be used for traffic control and public notification.
