General Project Description

The San Dieguito Union High School District is soliciting proposals from qualified Telecommunications or Internet Service Providers for Wide Area Network (WAN) Ethernet and/or Internet Services. The project aims to provide cost-effective, reliable, high-speed Ethernet or Internet connectivity to the District's 10 school sites and facilities, with Earl Warren Middle School potentially serving as a hub. The District intends to apply for E-Rate funding, requiring vendors to be registered with the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC) and comply with E-Rate program requirements, including documentation and billing. The services should maintain or exceed current bandwidth levels (ranging from 1000MB to 4000MB per remote site and 2x10GB at the hub) and allow for future bandwidth increases. Vendors must have local repair facilities in San Diego County and be able to respond to problem calls within two hours.
