General Project Description

The project involves the informal bidding for rubber safety surfacing tiles at Bryant Elementary School. The scope of work includes the removal of existing rubber safety surfacing tiles, perimeter edge tiles, and ADA accessible rubber ramps. This will be followed by the removal of glue residues from existing pavement, preparation of existing asphalt paving, and replacement with new rubber safety surfacing tiles, perimeter edge tiles, and two ADA rubber access ramps. The layout and placement of new materials will generally match the existing setup, with the exception of an additional ADA ramp. The approximate work area is 2,320 sq. ft. Contractors are required to field verify dimensions, trim tiles around play structure posts and vertical components, and potentially infill with rubber poured-in-place granule surfacing material in certain areas. The contractor is also obliged to provide a 2-year warranty.
