Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, TWIN PEAKS PROMENADE [CITYWIDE PLA] CONVERSION OF EXISTING ROADWAY CORRIDOR INTO MULTI-MODAL PEDESTRIAN AND BIKE TRAIL, identified under Solicitation ID: ITB SFRPD & SFDPW 0000011188. Work is to be performed near 501 Stanyan St, San Francisco, CA 94117, USA in San Francisco County.

General Project Description

The project involves the conversion of an existing roadway corridor into a multi-modal pedestrian and bike trail. This encompasses significant demolition and removal of existing roadway barriers, asphalt, and base. New installations include soil stabilized paving, base, wood headers, cast-in-place concrete paving, curbs, walls, tactile dome panels, and gabion cages. Extensive earthwork, grading, and soil preparation will be performed, alongside asphalt curb work and patching. Site furnishings such as bollards, benches, and bike racks will be installed, and sign fabrication and installation will occur. The project also includes boulder and salvaged log placement, plant and mulch transport and protection, planting bed preparation, and new plantings. Erosion control materials and restoration seeding will be installed, with protection fencing for sensitive plants/habitat. New parking striping, wheel stops, concrete accessible parking stalls, and loading aisles will be created. The project concludes with the installation of split rail fencing and fog sealing of asphalt paving. Trades requested include demolition, concrete, masonry, rough carpentry, site signage, furnishings, earthwork, landscape, asphalt paving, fabricated metals, and soil stabilized paving.
