General Project Description

The San Jacinto Unified School District is requesting proposals from qualified service providers for E-Rate eligible Category 1 Internet Access services bundled with managed firewall services for the E-RATE Funding Year (2026-2027). The project scope includes establishing ISP circuit termination (99.5% SLA), providing robust firewall functionalities such as NAT, ACL, BGP for multi-homing, Stateful firewall, IDS/IPS, DMZ, routing protocols, basic content filtering, malware detection, and VPN connectivity supporting 50 to 200 concurrent sessions. Bidders must also propose solutions for managing multiple ISPs and providing 5 concurrent Class C external IP address spaces. Pricing is required for bandwidth tiers of 10 Gbps, 20 Gbps, 40 Gbps, and 100 Gbps, under contract options of 3+1+1 years or 5 years. A mandatory detailed transition plan outlining IP/firewall migration, staff training, and associated costs is also required.
