General Project Description

The San Juan Unified School District is seeking proposals from qualified responders for a comprehensive pest management program. The program aims to control pests and reduce infestations using the least toxic methods in compliance with the Healthy Schools Act of 2000. Services will include monthly inspection and treatment at every district facility, maintenance of logbooks, structural and perimeter inspections, rodent control with tamper-resistant bait stations, and careful application of residual pesticides after proper postings and notifications. The scope also includes addressing specific pest scenarios such as fleas, gophers, squirrels, bees, bed bugs, and skunks, without additional charges for return visits or live trapping. The contract term is for one year, renewable annually for a total of up to five years.
