General Project Description

The San Lorenzo Valley Water District is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare the 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) Update. This project aims to bring the District's plan into compliance with the California Urban Water Management Planning Act and the Department of Water Resources (DWR) 2025 UWMP Guidebook. The scope includes reflecting current population, demand, and supply conditions; incorporating infrastructure improvements, conservation programs, and supply projects; and accounting for the District's complex distribution system, diverse water sources (surface and groundwater), and ongoing collaboration with the Santa Margarita Groundwater Agency for sustainable groundwater management. Key tasks involve project management, data collection and review, demand projections, water supply analysis, updating the Water Shortage Contingency Plan, system reliability and drought risk assessment, and preparing draft and final UWMP documents for DWR submittal and public review.
