General Project Description
The County of San Luis Obispo Flood Control and Water Conservation District is seeking professional services for the federally funded Arroyo Grande Creek Levees Project. The project involves a scoping analysis to determine the technical, operational, and financial feasibility of implementing a watershed-wide, nature-based solution to enhance flood protection for communities surrounding the Arroyo Grande Creek flood control channel. The comprehensive scope includes project management, stakeholder engagement, data collection, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, evaluation of nature-based solutions, alternatives analysis, preliminary design, environmental review (CEQA/NEPA), and grant application preparation to achieve 50-year and 100-year flood protection while improving ecological function and climate resilience.
