San Mateo County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Fitzgerald Marine Reserve Live-Feed Camera Installation Project (Seal Monitoring), identified under Solicitation ID: Informal No. 2026-RFP - Informal-00194. Work is to be performed near 400 Harbor Blvd bldg b, Belmont, CA 94002, USA in San Mateo County.
General Project Description
This project involves the installation of a live-feed camera system with a Wi-Fi receiver on the overlook bluff at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve for seal monitoring. The system will be powered by an on-site battery bank charged via solar panels mounted on a pole. A Wi-Fi repeater will be installed on the Ranger Station roof to transmit existing Wi-Fi to the bluff. The camera system must be outdoor-rated, high-definition, weatherproof for coastal conditions (salt spray, wind, UV), preferably with low-light and night-vision capabilities, and capable of continuous operation with minimal maintenance. Deliverables include a fully installed and operational system, configuration documentation, staff training, and system testing.
