General Project Description

San Mateo County Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals for a two-year contract for Fire Alarm Inspection, Testing, and Service at San Mateo Medical Center and Administration/Link Building. The project requires managing, organizing, and tracking reporting requirements for The Joint Commission Environment of Care standard (EC.02.03.05). The scope includes structured test reports, life safety equipment testing, and code conformance testing pursuant to Joint Commission and required NFPA Chapters. Specific testing frequencies include annual, semi-annual, and quarterly fire life safety system testing, annual elevator recall, fire alarm battery testing, and bi-annual sensitivity testing. The contractor must also provide emergency response and 24-hour on-call services.
