San Mateo County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Cellular Distributed Antenna System for the North County Wellness Center Project, identified under Solicitation ID: 2026-RFP-00357. Work is to be performed near 1024 Mission Rd, South San Francisco, CA 94080, USA in San Mateo County.
General Project Description
The County of San Mateo is seeking a firm to provide design, engineering, procurement, programming, and installation services for a new Cellular Distributed Antenna System (DAS) for the North County Wellness Center Project. The system is intended to enhance in-building wireless coverage for AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile/Sprint networks, providing two-way cellular voice and data coverage throughout the facility including all interior spaces. The scope of work includes design and engineering, submittal and procurement, systems installation, testing and commissioning, training and documentation, and closeout with warranty/service. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, management, and coordination. The system must be neutral-host, 5G-ready, support multi-carrier operations, provide minimum 95% in-building coverage, and comply with NEC, local building codes, RF exposure/EMF rules, and seismic/structural fastening requirements. The project is anticipated to include a contingency for owner direct changes and unforeseen existing conditions.
