San Mateo County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, LERIDA COURT AND GABARDA WAY RETAINING WALLS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, identified under Solicitation ID: E5022. Work is to be performed near 555 County Center, Redwood City, CA 94063, USA in San Mateo County.
General Project Description
This project in the Ladera Area of San Mateo County involves the improvement of retaining walls along Lerida Court and Gabarda Way, totaling approximately 320 feet in length, including appurtenant work. The scope encompasses demolition of existing concrete ditches, asphalt concrete dikes, and pavements; site preparation including building pad preparation and tree removal; earthwork operations such as earth fill embankment. Key structural enhancements include installation of Cast-In-Drilled-Hole (CIDH) concrete piles connected by reinforced concrete beams, ground anchors, and structural steel walers. Drainage system improvements entail removal and replacement of existing storm drainage pipes and drop inlets, and installation of new plastic pipe downdrains and geocomposite drains. Other work involves surface reconstruction of asphalt concrete dikes, pavements, and concrete ditches; installation of Class III rock slope protection; application of structural and sculpted shotcrete; and installation of temporary and permanent chain link fences. Project execution will also include mobilization, maintaining traffic, water pollution control, construction waste management, temporary erosion control measures like fiber rolls and hydroseeding, and construction staking and layout.
