General Project Description
The Santa Barbara Community College District is seeking a well-qualified firm to provide Programming and Criteria Architect (PCA) services for a Parking Lot Paving Project across multiple District Campuses. The selected PCA firm will work with the District and Construction Manager to prepare project description, programming, and project criteria documents. This includes defining project requirements, work limits, design and construction parameters, project site locations, proposed use, special site conditions, and the projected construction budget. The overall paving project involves rehabilitating approximately 767,342 square feet of pavement at three campuses to a serviceable level over a three-year period, with phased construction to minimize operational impact. The PCA Firm will also assist with drafting the Design-Build Entity's design scope for a separate Design-Build Entity Request for Proposals (RFP) process, attend pre-proposal meetings, respond to clarification requests, and provide advisory support during the evaluation and scoring of Design-Build Entity proposals.
