General Project Description

This flood control project encompasses water pollution control, traffic control, and extensive demolition including existing facilities within the Mission Creek Channel and adjacent parcels, specifically targeting the Haley and Gutierrez Street bridges and associated sheet pile transition channel walls. The scope involves installing approximately 882 linear feet of soldier pile walls using 30/36-inch cast-in-drilled-hole piles, significant earthwork, construction of rock-slope protection banks and in-stream rock features, protection of existing facilities and utilities, landscape plantings, and restoration of improvements on adjoining private parcels within the Mission Creek corridor. The project work occurs in the incorporated area of the City of Santa Barbara County, California, between Haley and Gutierrez Streets within Mission Creek.
