General Project Description
This contract is for the comprehensive maintenance, repair, and replacement of all VTA pressure washers, encompassing both mobile and fixed units, located across various operational facilities within Santa Clara County. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation to deliver quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) services. These PM services include visual inspections of burners, checking air inlets and combustion air flow, cleaning equipment, de-sooting burners per manufacturer recommendations, changing oil (based on usage), cleaning/replacing air filters, and checking electrical connections. Annual services extend to checking fuel solenoid valves, adjusting fuel and burner air pressure, and assessing burner smoke output. The contractor must utilize Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts for warranty-covered machines during repairs and maintenance and will provide itemized lists of replacement parts, inspection checklists, and detailed reports for all serviced equipment. This is intended as a requirements contract where the selected contractor will be the sole provider of these services.
