General Project Description

This project involves the on-call, as-needed installation of substructure and aerial fiber optic infrastructure and cable throughout the City of Santa Clara. Work is performed within existing right-of-ways, including streets and sidewalks. The scope includes installation of underground components (manholes, vaults, splice boxes, pull boxes), aerial components (poles, anchors, down guys, cross arms, support strands), traffic management and control, communication conduit installation (wye casting, intercepting conduits, EMT), fiber cable installation (traditional fiber, air-blown fiber), fiber splicing, and related infrastructure setup. The contract is for a one-year term, with an option for one additional one-year extension.
