Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

Santa Clara City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Lafayette Street and Tasman Drive Overpass Pedestrian Connection Feasibility Study Project, identified under Solicitation ID: DPW -85. Work is to be performed near 1500 Warburton Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95050, USA in Santa Clara County.

General Project Description

The Public Works Department of the City of Santa Clara is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide a feasibility study and preliminary engineering services. The project aims to develop design recommendations and alternatives to improve pedestrian connectivity in and around the existing Lafayette Street and Tasman Drive Overpass. This includes studying solutions for pedestrian access and vehicular traffic congestion during Levi Stadium event days, exploring options for a pedestrian walkway (ADA compliant, potentially with staircases) connecting the Tasman Drive Overpass and Lafayette Street, and converting an existing bike lane to a wider 9-foot-wide buffered bike lane requiring restriping. Services involve analyzing the current layout, conceptualizing temporary designated drop-off/pick-up zones for events, proposing design concepts for a pedestrian connector, and providing probable cost estimates.
