General Project Description

This project involves road and traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Page Mill Road and El Camino Real, and Page Mill Road at HP Driveway Entrance. The scope includes providing temporary traffic control systems, temporary traffic detection, and temporary signals. Major work items encompass roadway grinding and excavation, structural repair and microsurfacing, grading and paving for the removal of channelizing islands, and the reconstruction and extension of raised medians. It also involves the removal of existing traffic islands and the installation of new curb returns, sidewalks, gutters, and curb ramps, new PCC curbs, roadside signs, traffic detectors, conduit, conductors, pull boxes, traffic signal poles, traffic detection and monitoring cameras. Additionally, the project requires the removal and replacement of traffic stripes, pavement markings, and pavement markers; furnishing and installing traffic signs, utility coordination; installation and removal of landscaping and bioretention areas; removal of existing and installation of new inlet and piping; and the relocation of VTA bus stops, fire hydrants, and gas casing vent pipes.
