General Project Description

The project involves the replacement and installation of two Nevco (or City-approved equivalent) Video Display Scoreboards and associated signage at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center. The scope includes the removal of existing scoreboards, structural steel modifications, electrical and data cabling installation, and integration with existing timing and control systems. The upgrade aims to improve facility operations, ensure accurate timing/data display, and enhance the spectator experience. Specific tasks include supplying and installing HHS lateral steel with certified welding, painting structural steel, installing weatherproof housings for control systems, installing new electrical disconnects and distribution panels, replacing approximately 53 deck plates with edge sealing, and installing new wall plates, wiring, cable, and connectors at control locations for timing integration. The contractor will also be responsible for testing electrical and data connections, providing operator training, and offering a five-year warranty.
