General Project Description

This federally funded public works project involves the rebid for upgrading the existing, obsolete lighting control and dimming systems at the McBean Regional Transit Center. The scope includes furnishing and installing a complete remotely accessible adaptive lighting control system, comprising all necessary hardware and software, for lighting areas across two platforms, a park and ride parking lot, and monument signs. The project focuses on the control system itself, with existing light fixtures and poles remaining in place to be managed remotely by the new system. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the new system, ensuring enhanced functionality, efficiency, integration with existing infrastructure, and compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Earthwork quantities are specified for rough grading, including unclassified excavation, imported borrow, and over-excavation for fill sections and structures. The project also includes additional CCTV cabling.
