General Project Description

The County of Santa Cruz Department of Community Development and Infrastructure is soliciting proposals for professional project management services for the Soquel Drive Multimodal Project (Soquel 2). This project, part of the larger Watsonville-Santa Cruz Multimodal Corridor Program Cycle 4, aims to enhance transportation along the Highway 1 freeway, local cross-county bus routes (primarily Soquel Drive), and the Coastal Rail Trail. The scope includes constructing bus-on-shoulder facilities, auxiliary lanes, Class I paths, bicycle and pedestrian bridges, buffered and protected bike lanes, pavement rehabilitation, transit signal priority at intersections, modern rapid bus stops with boarding platforms, shelters, and real-time displays, soundwalls, retaining walls, sidewalk gap closures, ADA curb ramps, and improved crosswalk visibility. The project management services cover comprehensive project controls, Caltrans compliance, procurement support, technical and design coordination, environmental and permitting interface, and Right-of-Way and easement management.
