General Project Description
The County of Santa Cruz Department of Community Development and Infrastructure is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for on-call professional traffic engineering services. The selected consultants will provide expertise in various traffic-related tasks, including qualitative and quantitative analysis of traffic circulation and transportation issues, formulation of improvement options and recommendations, cost estimation, schematic design of traffic improvements, data collection (traffic counts, origin/destination studies, parking surveys), Level of Service analysis, design of traffic improvements (plans, specifications), public meeting participation, traffic signal coordination and timing plans, property acquisition documentation, speed surveys, traffic signal/stop sign warrant analyses, peer review of design projects/studies/plans, and staff augmentation. Specific scopes of services and budgets will be negotiated after consultant selection, with the contract term expected to be three years.
