General Project Description
The City of Santa Monica's Mobility Division is seeking professional consulting services to implement systemic crosswalk improvements on Ocean Avenue, Colorado Boulevard, and at the intersection of 23rd Street & Hill Street. This project aims to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety, aligning with the City's Vision Zero goals to reduce severe and fatal collisions. The scope includes engineering design, planning, and preparation of construction documents for signing, striping, Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB), ADA-compliant curb ramps, and providing support during bidding and construction. The project is funded by the Caltrans Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and a local match.
